Our story begins with ProofreadingServices.com, an award-winning proofreading and editing company that our founder, Luke Palder, launched in 2011. At ProofreadingServices.com, we have served more than 27,000 clients in over 100 countries, earning a customer-satisfaction rating of 9.7 out of 10. Over the years, we have worked on more than 150,000 documents, including over 4,000 books spanning business, fiction, self-help, Christian literature, and nearly 1,000 memoirs.
As we worked with more and more authors, we noticed something important: Many had invested numerous years writing their manuscripts, and yet getting them across the finish line—into a finished book that would reach readers—was harder than they expected. Multitudes stalled out until they asked for help.
The Spark That Led to MemoirGhostwriting.com
Through our conversations, we identified a clear gap: Many authors needed more than editing or formatting. They needed storytelling partners who would help them shape, finish, and launch their stories into the world.
So we expanded our service offerings, shifting from merely proofreading and editing to e-book and print formatting, marketing, cover design, and other publishing support.
Then came the next awakening: Many of the authors reaching out had been wrestling with their manuscripts for seven or eight years. By contrast, our team could move faster and help them finish the project they had spent so long working on.
This realization led directly to the birth of MemoirGhostwriting.com, our dedicated service designed to help authors tell their life stories in a professionally written book—often in as little as three months.
